Once again, I never thought it would happen, but it's about to: I expect to get my 1000th watcher some time around the end of December or early January. There will be a kiriban for whoever does it!
I'm not sure yet about the content, but there may be some need to negotiate. For instance, no violence, nothing nonconsensual, and of course no violation of dA's TOS. Copyright violation is not an issue, because it won't be a copy of anything. Ideally it will involve one or more of the characters I've already built; your own OC is welcome, though it may take a little longer, and if the character belongs to somebody else, I'll want to get their permission.
For my general preferences and principles, see "On 'requests' generally" below. For this kiriban, I waive "preferences" as distinct from "principles", though I may apply some of my own ideas to the final product.
On "requests" generally:
I don't do commissions, for a couple of reasons. (1) After years of living on a shoestring, I'm finally solvent enough that I don't need the money!
(2) I like having complete control over what I do - and with a commission, I don't. With a commission, I'm producing for somebody else; it's their idea; it's subject to their approval.
With a request, I can (1) say no if I don't choose to do it; (2) waffle if I really don't want to but not quite enough to say no; (3) do it, if I like the idea. I actually think of requests as "suggestions", for these reasons:
Everything except the idea is mine. The one partial exception is if I create a new character based on you or your OC - I won't post pictures containing that character without your permission. (I may or may not ask every time - if you give blanket permission, as some people have done, or if you have previously approved the kind of thing I want to do, I'll just go ahead.)
The fact is, most of my ideas have come from other people, either by suggesting something, or just by doing something that the Chronophontians and I saw and liked a lot.
Since I'm completely free to say no to requests, there are certain categories that I will ALWAYS say no to, so don't bother to request. Basically I won't do anything that expresses or implies lack of consent - serious violence, rape, guro, etc. I've done some mild BDSM (mostly of a parody nature) but always with the implication that the participants were having fun and could leave any time they wanted to.
As even the quickest glance at my gallery will show, I LOVE to show people (especially my own characters) having naked and sometimes mildly sexual fun. From what's there, and from what conspicuously
isn't there, you can kind of surmise my philosophy:
I don't judge by explicitness. I do everything from G rated to X - and if dA allowed even more explicit work, I'd do that too. My criterion, moral as well as artistic, is
consent: if the people involved aren't there by their own free choice, it's wrong and I won't do it - for myself or for anyone else. So lovemaking, of any kind, is OK. (Including yuri, which I've done occasionally, and yaoi, which for completely non-"moral" reasons I haven't - as a matter of purely personal preference.) Within dA's limits, of course.
Back to requests: I suppose yaoi is another category that I would do with some reluctance - not out of any objection, but just lack of taste for it myself. In fact, I don't have a lot of male characters: just the Chronophontian ladies' Dream Dudes and a couple of male animals. So a request for a male character is one I'd be less likely to take up than for a female character.
I'll do anthro of the cute, humanoid kind; the snouty, animal-looking ones just don't appeal to me, though I can be persuaded.
Fan art of commercial characters I have never done - I'm willing to, but I make no promises about accuracy of likeness. I may have never even heard of the character before! The more references, the better. (And if it's somebody very toony and/or nonhuman, like Sonic or a Little Pony, it's unlikely that it will be even close.)
So with those considerations in mind, I welcome requests, at least to consider! Whether I will actually do it or not, you take your chances.

On thanking faves: I like to! Even when I run into curmudgeons who actually object to being thanked.
However, I have the problem of being popular! Well, sort of. Not, thank God, popular enough to make enemies, but popular enough that I can't thank every fave. So as a compromise, I thank everyone who faves
and comments, and everyone who faves more than once during the period (typically four or five days) before the next time I go through and delete messages. So if you fave and don't get a thank-you, sorry, I thank you all!
