Irene, Queen of Xanth (queen of the humans anyway) is played by U. Shirley May, with daughters Ivy (Jeannine) and Ida (Natasha).

Irene's talent is making plants grow. Fast, lush, and anywhere. (Hence the green hair.) Ivy's talent is to Enhance things, and Ida makes wishes come true...in the right circumstances. That's a little "moon" that orbits around Ida's head. (Yup, it's complicated - read the books!)

Um, Shirley...Irene doesn't have wings.

Oh dear, poor Irene! This must be her lucky day. By the way, why didn't you ask one of my sisters, Rosebud Wiley May or Mary Muntho May? They're the Spring and Summer Faeries, they specialize in making things grow. They'd be perfect!

But you're much better looking.

I've always thought of these Xanth renders (most of them, anyway) as fan art. Under the new system, there is a fan art category for "books & novels" - but it's under Drawings, which this isn't. Oh well...
