Her winning smile

Those of you who know the story of Phantom of the Opera will remember that Erik the Phantom's main complaint about the Opéra was that they wouldn't reserve "his" Box 5. This bit of stinginess on the part of the managers had, um, tragic results.

In Chronophontia we believe in happy endings! Erik now has an assertive (!!) girlfriend, who needed nothing more than that Winning Smile to persuade the Opéra managers to be a little more generous.

I wore my "encouragement" boots too, just in case.

To be fair, Erik is pretty assertive too - read the book or see the play if you doubt that! -

Erik: Alas, my assertiveness was unavailing. Mlle. Euthanasia has succeeded quite brilliantly, however. Brava!
