Description
A 20's model on a 2000's fashion stage! (And, in case you were wondering, yes, those are 2000's shoes too.) Oh well, compromises. Jeannine has been wanting to do a ballet animation. I haven't given up on that, but I clearly wasn't going to get around to it for a while. So fashion modeling was her provisional second choice -
I can walk sexy too.
- but I've never even seen a 1920's fashion stage, virtual or otherwise.
And no nudity this time, sorry, mes amis. This is fashion modeling.
Um, actually, Jeannine, you could model your jewelry...
Pandora has already done that. No need for me to. But don't worry, I will do plenty of nude things later!
The fashion stage is by Sharkey (Cybergate, no link) with a suitably Parisian scene [link] by . Jeannine is wearing the V3 Roaring 20s Flapper Dress by DAZ.
Technical compromises too...as you can imagine, any slowdown in render time gets multiplied in animation - to about 60 hours total. So - smallish image, no ray tracing (the shadows would look a LOT better raytraced) and the dress movement is not what I had aimed for. And there are still a couple of downright bugs, which I intend to fix and repost. Hope our girl looks good anyway!
About the music:
A small (very small) apology for the sound quality. While researching Jeannine's ballet, I discovered that public-licensed classical music (unlike pop) is almost nonexistent. However, I had an ace up my sleeve. (well, a joker anyway)
The composition is an excerpt from Golliwog's Cakewalk by Debussy. The performance and recording are entirely my own. I didn't actually play it - I'm far from able to do that - but transcribed it back in 1991 for a music synthesizer program I had just written. The output format was 8-bit .au, the only format I had a specification for. I like to think that even in a computer transcription, I made it swing a little! (Jeannine certainly does.)
Merci, Tom.
